The Chamber’s “Monster Mega Mixer & Business Showcase” held on October 30 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center was a great success. Despite Hurricane Sandy hitting Hampton Roads the day before the event, more than 400 people attended the networking event. More than 100 of the Chamber’s newest members set up exhibit booths showing off their products and services. Many donned on Halloween costumes and decorated their booths for the festivities. Guests enjoyed networking while listening to music provided by Astro DJ and dining on amazing food compliments of Distinctive Gourmet.
Terry from Oliology said, “It’s great to be a new member of the Chamber. We are glad to be here, and this is a great event.”
Another exhibitor, Steve of Turf & Garden, added “We are new to the Chamber and this is our first event, we love it.”
Mandalyn Putnam of ZZ Servers, dressed as a time traveler, and was awarded first place in the Halloween costume contest. Prizes were also awarded for the best decorated booths. Monarch Bank received top prize and The Chesapeake Bay Catering Company received runner-up.
