Tuesday, May 1st is an important day in the region. The citizens of Chesapeake and Norfolk have the opportunity to vote and select their representatives on City Council and School Boards. These important elected officials manage our municipal and educational operations that ultimately impact the business community.
The Chesapeake and Norfolk Division Boards conducted an in - depth analysis of the candidates over the last several months including questionnaires, forums and interviews with over 30 candidates on the issues specifically impacting the region's economy, quality of life, education, and workforce development. After this extensive candidate evaluation process, the Chesapeake and Norfolk Division's have endorsed the following candidates for City Council and respectfully urge the membership of the Hampton Roads Chamber to vote for them on Tuesday, May 1st. Voting for all levels of government is important for our participatory democracy!
