Managing Communications has offered internships and assisted recent college graduates to build experience over the past 18 years, and we believe this is an important aspect of our communications and education commitment. We offer one-on-one training and guidance for each project. This internship will work primarily on writing content, digital marketing, learning to do authentic video production and editing, and website updates for our clients and for MCC. Our intern will have an opportunity to participate in meetings approximately twice a month to learn how organizations plan strategy for fundraising and events. The intern will also learn valuable skills in social media strategy, planning and implementation. If they are not familiar with WordPress, email marketing, and other strategies for communicating, they will have an opportunity to work on these. This intern will be assisting to implement the technology behind national webinars.


Ideal qualifications:
Good basic writing skills                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Research skills                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Skilled in most Microsoft Office programs                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Ability to meet deadlines                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Some experience in CRMs such as MailChimp to create e-news                                                                                                                                                                                                          Good organizational skills to assist with events                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Ideal candidate will have experience or an aptitude for tech such as WordPress.                                                                                                                                                                                Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients

Additional experience in any of these areas preferred:
Tech savvy to set up and assist with development of webinars                                                                                                                                                                                                          Creative with experience in Canva, Publisher, etc.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Experience with WordPress page development and application of content                                                                                                                                                                                            Some experience with video editing Experience with video production and video cameras helpful
Flexible schedule working from your own location but prefer the ability to spend some scheduled time for meetings during daytime with advanced notice.                                                                       

On average four or five hours per week, paid $10.00-15.00 per hour, depending on experience, as a 1099 contractor. Opportunity to increase hours and increased hourly pay based on interests, skills, and the needs of the business. Must have a laptop with access to Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Reliable transportation. We will also cover mileage expense for work involving travel to office, events, meetings.
