HAMPTON ROADS, VA – The Virginia Beach Division of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce announces today its endorsements for Virginia Beach City Council. As the area’s premier business organization, the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to serving its members and communities by creating economic prosperity and enhancing the quality of life throughout Hampton Roads.
Thirteen candidates are running for six open seats on the Virginia Beach City Council. The Chamber’s Virginia Beach Board of Directors, in partnership with the Virginia Beach Roundtable, developed a questionnaire to understand each candidate’s position on policies important to the business community. The Chamber’s Virginia Beach Division considered voting records and answers to the questionnaire to evaluate the candidates.
