What are your business's core values, goals, and overall mission?

Quality One Solutions, Inc. was born out of a sincere desire to help customer centered businesses with an even better source of customer feedback than social media and surveys often convey through coordinated secret/mystery shopper programs and other means. We have also seen firsthand how quality assurance inspections and customer surveys have been misused and inappropriately applied and hope to use this experience to assist those in the hospitality sector. Simply put; our slogan Hospitality Professionals Serving Hospitality Professionals is more than just a slogan to us. We are a local Tidewater based firm looking to give a better option to our local business community than many of the big out of town operators.  Hampton Roads and Richmond are unique markets that deserve unique attention. We feel our company reflects that uniqueness.

 Share some unique facts and business history? What makes your business stand out?

We are a new startup company, but not one new to the hospitality arena. Founder and President Jeff Honeycutt is a retired Air Force veteran with more than a decade of experience in hospitality management, with particular experience in change management and quality assurance auditing. He worked for Wyndham Vacation Ownership in several capacities, lastly being hand-picked as part of a small team to completely overhaul back of the house organization, procedures and reporting systems. From there Jeff worked for Diamond Resorts International, managing one of its largest resorts that included extensive F&B operations, retail, and the assorted ancillary resort features. This new venture represents a desire to use his experience, analytical know-how and reality based understanding of hospitality operations to deliver the most effective and useful information to our business customers.

 What products or services do you offer companies or individuals?

Secret/ Mystery shopper programs, customizable brand auditing inspections and data collection, back of the house evaluation/inspections as well as customer facing front of the house operations. We can customize an independent inspection for any or all levels based on your company policies and procedures.

 What are the greatest obstacles and/or challenges that your business has faced? How have you and your business overcome them?

As a new business in the marketplace, one of the chief challenges is being noticed. It’s not enough to have web presence anymore, you have to find a way to network and become known. That was my single greatest reason for joining the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce. We are not challenged by resources; technology has made available all we need to compete with the larger providers. The challenge is to get our voice heard over those larger providers.

 What accomplishments are you most proud of?

Probably similar to what most new business owners are proud of; the courage to take the leap. Leaving a well-compensated position with a large secure company took some doing. Not everyone shared the enthusiasm, but sometimes a moment comes when you just feel you have to give it a go. Our founder Jeff has an MBA from Averett University, advanced certifications in Project Management from Villanova University, and is currently seeking his Black Belt in Six Sigma, a topic of fascination for several years now. We have associate contributors with accounting, front and back of the house experience as well as other hospitality support roles.

 What do you see for the future of your business?

We would like Quality One Solutions, Inc. to become the local go-to organization with respect to customer retention and feedback. I see the business growing from a start up to a major contributor to the hospitality community and customer service. Hampton Roads is our back yard and we want to be the ones our neighbors call.

 Why are you a member of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce?

We recognize the HRCC as the preeminent voice of business in this area. We believe it to be the best source of business to business contacts across the board and hope to cultivate many valuable partnerships along our road. The networking opportunities as well as opportunities to volunteer and give back to our community seemed best served in association with the Chamber.
