President's Name: Jack Dailey
President's Title: Owner
What are your business's core values, goals, and overall mission?:
We want to introduce the Philadelphia soft pretzel product to the Hampton Roads market while also looking to become an active partner and contributor to the community.
Share some unique facts and business history? What makes your business stand out?:
Everybody loves pretzels and the Philadelphia pretzel is unique and stands apart from competitors. People have fun eating our different menu items, and they all come at a relatively inexpensive price.
Pennsylvania, the home of the soft pretzel, sells 10% more pretzels than any other state in the US. We want to bring that same love of pretzels down here to Hampton Roads.
What products or services do you offer companies or individuals?:
For companies, we have pretzels that can be used as sales tools, for employer recognition events or for employee retention. It's a versatile product that can feed a lot of people at a low price.
Businesses can use pretzels to engage customers (ex: car dealership, real estate open houses). It's a perfect tool for salespeople looking to get a foot in the door.
For consumers, we offer a variety of options like pretzel dogs, cheesesteak pretzels and cinnamon twists/rivets to satisfy the sweet tooth.
We can create party platters for appetizers, office meetings, tailgates or any other event on your calendar. A pretzel platter is always a big hit!
What are the greatest obstacles and/or challenges that your business has faced? How have you and your business overcome them?:
Our biggest challenge is making people aware of us. We're a new store and exposure is key. So we're investing a lot of time and energy getting to know the business community and local community to build relationships.
What accomplishments are you most proud of?:
We're proud to work with Virginia Beach City Public Schools and its Virginia Beach Food Partnership Workshop. As part of the program, we can entertain field trips and let children see how we make pretzels from scratch. Plus, students can even make their own!
We also plan to speak with marketing/accounting students about running a business. We're all about being partners in education.
What do you see for the future of your business?:
We are a grassroots operation right now and want as many people as possible to become familiar with us. We hope to become an integral part of the community and the first choice for fun, inexpensive food and catering options.
Why are you a member of the Hampton Roads Chamber?:
We joined the Chamber to grow our B2B relationships and become a trusted member of the business community.
We also want to make business owners and salespeople think of pretzels as an integral part of the sales process. Our food helps you open doors, start conversations and close deals.
