On Monday November 17th, 391 high school students from across Hampton Roads gathered at the Norfolk Waterside Marriot to participate in the 10th Annual Stock Market Challenge hosted by Junior Achievement of Greater Hampton Roads and sponsored by Bank of America Merrill Lynch. The Stock Market Challenge (SMC) is an event in which teams of local students from area schools compete during two trading sessions to see who can build the biggest portfolio in a mock stock market simulation. Students were divided into competitive teams to make trades and buy stock. Winners included teams from York High School and the Marketing Management at Town Center program.
