NORFOLK, Va—November 11, 2019- MacArthur On Ice, MacArthur Center’s outdoor ice rink, will return for its 15th season on Saturday, November 16th, offering Hampton Roads shoppers the ice-skating holiday tradition they’ve come to know and love.
The 7,200-square-foot ice rink, on the corner of Monticello Avenue and Freemason Street, is the area’s largest public outdoor skating rink. The rink will be open from Nov. 16, 2019, through Jan. 20, 2020. The skating rink will include a large ice skate selection, including double runners for toddlers and up to size 16 adult; a mini-rink for toddlers; a private party area with picnic table seating for up to 60 people; birthday party packages and lots more special events.
“MacArthur On Ice has established itself as a holiday tradition for the Hampton Roads community, and we are committed to making the experience more spectacular with each passing year.” Says Karen Husselbee, MacArthur Center marketing director.
Enjoy a nightly magical snowfall between 6pm and 8:30pm, meet Santa on the ice on December 7 and 14 or plan a date night with our special date night package! Like to dance? Don’t miss our Saturday night Disco on Ice events. New this year, you can enjoy an adult beverage at our Holiday Pop Up Bar on weekends. To celebrate our 15th season, we are offering FREE SKATE RENTALS on opening day only!
Skating is $7 per person for admission and $8 for skate rentals, although those who wish can bring their own skates. Military personnel and their families who show their military IDs will save $2 off the admission price. Season passes are available.
