Christine Carruthers has joined Harbor’s Edge as vice president of marketing. In her new role, she will lead the sales and marketing efforts at Harbor’s Edge, including its new $200 million River Tower expansion, scheduled to open in 2021. She will provide strategic direction and oversight of marketing for not just the independent living, but the assisted living and memory support components as well.
Carruthers has 20+ years of experience in marketing and sales with proven success in building and maintaining census and market presence while driving strong and sustainable revenue growth. She has worked with more than 100 retirement communities across the country developing and implementing marketing programs, analyzing resident demographics and creating tactical lead generation plans. She has been responsible for directing the marketing and sales strategy for two nationally recognized firms considered to be leaders in senior living industry.
The 24-story River Tower expansion will double the size of the community, which offers a luxury lifestyle in a dynamic waterfront urban setting. The 147 new apartments include one-, two- and three-bedroom configurations, most with expansive views of the harbor and downtown Norfolk. The lobby of the River Tower will include a large atrium with an expansive glass skylight, similar to what one would expect to see in a Four Seasons Resort hotel. The project will also add 75,000 square feet of new common areas, including two new restaurants, a theatre, golf simulator and a lobby lounge. While 85% of the new apartments have already been reserved, great floor plans are still available. During construction depositors enjoy favorable pricing and additional benefits, including the ability to customize their unit with their choice of finishes.
Harbor’s Edge is Hampton Roads’ premier True LifeCare Community® offering a full continuum of care including assisted living, memory support and nursing services at a predictable cost. Residents enjoy a refined and active lifestyle and fine dining. For more information, visit www.harborsedgenorfolk.com.
