The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Jennifer K. Palestrant has joined the organization as Senior Vice President of Membership and Communications. Palestrant will be responsible for the retention and expansion of the organization's membership base. She will develop and supervise the Chamber’s public relations, promotional activities and publications and facilitate communication between the Chamber, its membership and the general public.

Palestrant has more than 20 years of professional service marketing experience for law firms, accounting firms, investment banks and non-profits. Most recently, she served as the Executive Director of the d’ART Center in downtown Norfolk.
Before the d’ART Center, Palestrant was President of the Elizabeth City Area Chamber of Commerce representing 650 businesses in Northeastern North Carolina on the local, state and national level.
Palestrant has a B.A. from the College of Wooster in Ohio and an MBA from the Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary.
