For more than 54 years, Didlake, Inc. has championed its vision of inclusive communities — where people with disabilities are valued and respected, where everyone has the opportunity to make choices and participate in all aspects of society.
The company is expanding this vision with a ribbon cutting ceremony at its new office building at 8131 Shore Drive, Norfolk, Virginia, 23518.
Didlake has provided rehabilitative employment and services for people with significant disabilities in the Greater Hampton Roads Area and the Eastern Shore since 2005. In 2018, over 350 individuals with significant disabilities were placed at business throughout the community with the support of Didlake’s Supported Employment program.
Didlake also offers rehabilitative employment opportunities through its participation in the AbilityOne® Program. Through this work over 460 people in Greater Hampton Roads, 70% of whom are individuals with significant disabilities worked on contracts serving the military throughout the region.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.
