HAMPTON ROADS, VA — The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce’s annual State of the City will be held in Portsmouth on Wednesday, April 4 at noon at the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel & Waterfront Conference Center (425 Water Street). Portsmouth Mayor Kenneth Wright will highlight key business development initiatives, provide strategic municipal progress updates, address challenges and opportunities in the city, and provide a glimpse into the city’s future. More than 400 of the region’s business, political, and community leaders are expected to be in attendance.
The Chamber's State of the City Series has become the preferred forum for elected officials and mayors to communicate with their constituents and are often sold out events. State of the City addresses are annual updates of each city's progress over the past year and agenda for the year to come. Each address is held in the featured city and is given by the mayor of that city. This event is a forum for interaction among leaders in attendance.
