Attend WFCV's meeting this March to gather with, get to know, and share your story among some of the brightest and most passionate women in business in the Coastal Virginia area. We invite you to enjoy a light continental breakfast and coffee as we will kick off our year of programming with the first of three "Women's Wednesday" Breakfast events at Cox Communications. Ruth McElroy Amundsen will join us as our special guest speaker to discuss Passion & Purpose.

Ruth is a thermal engineer in the Structural and Thermal Systems Branch in the Engineering Directorate at NASA Langley, where she has worked since 1990. She is also a qualified opportunity zone (QOZ) fund leader at Norfolk Solar Qualified Opportunity Zone Fund (norfolksolar.org), which she created with the purpose to install solar on businesses and non-profits in QOZs. QOZs are disadvantaged zones that contain a majority of homes and businesses that qualify as low-income. In her words, " I started this fund because I believe we need quick and substantial action to fight climate change, and we need a way to lessen the burden of high utility bills on residents and businesses in disadvantaged neighborhoods."
Join us for this Women's Wednesday to hear more from Ruth about her Passion & Purpose and what she challenges us all to do to help ourselves and our area flourish.
