The group is participating in the Business Organization Leadership Development (BOLD) Program, being held from June 13-17. This training is being conducted by the National U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce to provide delegation members an opportunity for observation of U.S. business development membership services models and discussion on the interchange between business and U.S. government officials regarding business environment. The project is funded through the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, Office of the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI).
While in Hampton Roads, the group visited the Port of Virginia, as well as the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber’s President & CEO Jack Hornbeck, CCE, provided the visitors with a presentation summarizing the region, its infrastructure, and the goals and objectives of the Chamber.
