Chesapeake, VA. – The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has named AVMAC LLC (dba Aviation Management Analytical Consultants) the Region III Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year for 2016. Region III includes Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC and West Virginia.
AVMAC LLC (AVMAC) is an aviation consulting contractor who works primarily in the Department of Defense Aviation and Shipboard program arena. The company performs aviation-related program support; aviation and air-capable ship maintenance, repair and overhaul; and aviation program analysis for both aircraft and related support equipment. AVMAC is a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), a SBA certified 8(a) Disadvantaged Business, a Virginia Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and a Virginia Department of Veteran Services certified Virginia Values Veterans (V3) company, which recognizes AVMAC’s commitment in recruiting, hiring and retaining veterans.
The 2016 Small Business Prime Contractor Award will be presented by the Region III administrator, Ms. Natalia Olson-Urtecho, accompanied by the SBA Richmond District Director, Mr. Carl Knoblock on 9 June 2016 at AVMAC's corporate headquarters in the Oakbrooke Business and Technology Center in Chesapeake. The selection criteria for the award includes: management qualifications and expertise, exceptional results, and cost performance.
AVMAC was nominated for the award by GSA/FAS Rocky Mountain Region 8. AVMAC has a longstanding history of contracts with the United States Marine Corp, Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), and Naval Systems Warfare Center, Detachment Philadelphia (NSWCPD). AVMAC has always received high marks on their performance evaluations, referred to as Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS), and since their inception in 2009 has grown from three to over 140 employees.
