A Hybrid of Live and Virtual to meet members needs

The Hampton Roads Chamber team is working hard to deliver events to you throughout the Pandemic.

Due to Governor Northam’s tightened restrictions and the rise of COVID-19 cases in Hampton Roads, we are reworking our events.

The Valor Awards will continue as live event with a maximum of 50 people in the room at the Chesapekae Conference Center. This award ceremony honors first responders.  We will live stream this event on WTKR Digital at 12:45 on August 10, 2020.

Bravo! A Celebration of Leadership is postponed to the Fall. This will be a luncheon at the Norfolk Marriott Waterside.  Old Dominion University President John Broderick will be honored as First Citizen, and Former Virginia Beach Police Chief James Cervera will receive the Julian Hirst LEAD Hampton Roads Alumni Award.  This event honors the 2020 Lead Hampton Roads Signature Class.

The Power of Women is rescheduled to the fall. This event will be held at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront.  Katharine Bond of Dominion Energy is the keynote speaker. The panel will be moderated by Delceno Miles. Panelists include Christen Faatz, Georgie Marquez, and Captain Michele Naughton.

The Chamber Strome series continues this fall with live and virtual events.  On August 25, at noon, a virtual Chamber Strome event with economist Mark Anielski.  He will discuss a new emerging economy of well-being in a 'pandemic' economic situation.  Then on September 15,  Rania Anderson will lead a hybrid session of part virtual and part live on new ways to work and lead together.

As an inspiring ignitor, powerful economic partner, impactful advocate, and regional collaborator the Hampton Roads Chamber is providing important resources and access to leaders to help the business community thrive following the pandemic.
