Spend your most important meal of the day among the wildest of friends. The Virginia Zoo’s annual Breakfast with the Animals event returns on Saturday, August 11, 2018, from 8 to 10 am. This once, members-only event, is now open to the public and everyone is invited for this rare opportunity to visit the Zoo before it opens and learn more about their favorite animals.
After a delightful breakfast buffet, visitors can explore the Zoo and watch more than 20 animals enjoy their breakfast - a variety of fruits and vegetables. Zoo volunteers will trail host at exhibits to dish out interesting facts about various animals’ diets, behavior and personalities.
Visitors can also meet interesting animal ambassadors, take a ride on the Zoo Train and enjoy the bounce houses and a meet-and-greet from Tango the Tiger.
Tickets for Members are $15 for adults (12+) and $10 for children (5-11). Tickets for non-members are $25 for adults (12+) and $15 for children (5-11). All children under 5 are $5. The cost includes all-day admission to the Zoo. For the breakfast menu, more information and to purchase tickets, visit virginiazoo.org/events.
