The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame and ESPN Radio 94.1 invite you to tee it up this fall and help support two great causes. The 2020 Golf Classic will take place October 9, 2020 at Virginia Beach National Golf Club. Funds raised will help support the Hall of Fame's Student-Athlete Achievement Awards, and the First Tee of Hampton Roads. Both the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame and the First Tee of Hampton Roads are 501 (c)(3) non-profit organizations.
The day will be filled with golf, on-course contests and prizes, food, drinks, and appearances by Virginia Sports Hall of Fame inductees. NEW this year, the Golf Classic has added a Ladies Division Flight; Queen of the Course. All female foursomes will compete against each other for top prizes. Foursomes with at least one female will also receive incentives on the course. Statistics show females make up 23% of the overall golf population, yet very few tournaments encourage female participation. So, grab your friends and colleagues, put together a winning foursome, and enjoy a great day of golf, networking, and fun!
Foursomes are $700 and include greens fees/carts, player gift bags, lunch, awards dinner, and complimentary beverages.
Foursome spots, as well as event, tent, and hole sponsorships are available. Event sponsors have the opportunity to have an inductee join your foursome for the day! Sponsor benefits include pre event, on-site, and post event marketing, branding, and engagement.
To register your team, please visit the 2020 Golf Classic event page on the Hall of Fame’s website. Sponsor information and brochure can be found at the event page, or by contacting:

The mission of the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame is to serve as a non-profit resource which celebrates athletic excellence in the Commonwealth of Virginia, highlighting philanthropy through sports, while inspiring sports fans through programming and engaging entertainment.
Included in that mission is our annual Student-Athlete Achievement Awards, a statewide initiative highlighting top student-athletes from Virginia that excel academically, athletically, and in their communities. The annual Golf Classic supports this program. Here is a recap of the 2019 Student-Athlete Achievement Awards.
