Hampton Roads Chamber and the City of Virginia Beach Honor Local Military July 31
For 21 years, the Chamber has joined with the business community to recognize and honor local service men and women. This is one of many events sponsored by the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce to show local support for men and women of the armed forces stationed in the region. The event will include an award ceremony for our military men and women who have been selected for their outstanding achievements in the past year from the Virginia Beach Commands at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story, Naval Air Station Oceana and Camp Pendleton.
The Honorable Will Sessoms, Mayor of Virginia Beach and Captain Christopher Chope, Commanding Officer of NAS-Oceana, will provide remarks to more than 75 honorees and attendees. Captain Frank Hughlett, Commanding Officer of Joint Expeditionary Base-Little Creek/Fort Story and LTC Elena Scarbrough, U.S. Army, Commanding Officer of Camp Pendleton will also be in attendance.
