There was also a meeting today with Senator Bill DeSteph to discuss business issues and hospitality issues. Chamber EVP and staff lobbyist participated along with members of the Virginia Beach Hotel Association.  

In addition, the Senate Education and Health Committee heard a briefing from the Secretary of Health this morning. The topic of COPN was discussed. Senators Cosgrove, Lewis and Lucas are on the committee.

The House Commerce and Labor Committee is meeting today in Richmond. This committee reviews many of the business related bills before the General Assembly. The Region has many Delegates who serve on this committee.
