Colliers is pleased to announce that Neptune’s Fury Coffee Co. has leased 3,853 square feet of space in Dominion Tower at 999 Waterside Drive in Norfolk. The company will open a coffee roastery and café on the first floor of the office tower with views of the Elizabeth River.

The company was founded by Matt Rose and Jason Walker.

“We have been roasting coffee as a hobby since 2018 and created Neptune’s Fury Coffee Co. in mid 2020,” said Rose. “We pride ourselves on serving as an on-ramp into the world of specialty coffee with our spectrum of roast levels and origins. So far, our coffee has only been available at farmer’s markets in the ViBe Creative District and Ghent, along with select retailers. Extending our brand and production in the growing community of Downtown Norfolk feels like a natural next step.”

The coffee shop will open in spring 2022 after the build-out of the space is completed. In addition to coffee and espresso-based drinks, Neptune’s Fury will offer a light food menu. Hours will be Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 2:30 pm.

“We will be working with local producers to help fill our grab-and-go area, which will have self-checkout for convenience,” added Walker. “Our coffee roaster will be on display in the café, and we will be roasting coffee for retail and wholesale customers. While most of our coffee today is roasted light to medium, we love developing new profiles as well as roasting new origins and green processing methods. We are inspired by so many people we’ve met over our past few years; both in the coffee realm and our local community. Our goal is to make specialty coffee more accessible and share our creation across Coastal Virginia and beyond.”

Perry Frazier, executive vice president with Colliers, negotiated the lease on behalf of the landlord.
