We’re holding auditions and tweaking the script for the 13th annual Sustainable Resources Campaign (SRC)! Our Co-Chairs, John Wilson (WBR Insurance Agency, LLC) and Susie Archer (Old Dominion Steel Company, Inc.) are staging this production and rehearsing the cast. We’ll take their direction to the final curtain call!
The 2012 Leadership Team is in place. Our 2012 Campaign Vice Chairs are: Andy Callahan, BB&T; Joe Taylor-Taylor’s Do-It Centers; Chris Lagow, Portfolio Recovery Associates; David Williams, Fulton Bank; and Kurt Hofelich, Sentara Obici Hospital.
Our Board leaders are: Regional Board-Maurice Jones, Pilot Media; Virginia Beach Board-Tuck Bowie, TheTerry/ Peterson Companies; Norfolk Board-Mike Fowler , Merrill Lynch; Portsmouth Board-Jennifer Smith, Bon Secours Virginia Health System; Suffolk Board-Brian Williams, Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront Hotel & Conference Center; and Chesapeake Board – Patrick Reynolds, Ashby Development, LLC.
This year’s goal is $850,000 and we’re getting ready for opening night! The annual campaign is a critical part of the Chamber’s ability to raise operating revenue to fund its programs and services to the business community. When the community prospers, your business prospers.
This reward-driven campaign is a great way for you to meet local business leaders, work with many of the community's finest volunteers, earn incentives, and have fun. Campaign volunteers reach out to the community and engage local businesses in the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce by selling sponsorships, advertising and memberships. We’ll keep on rehearsing and honing our chops until the final scene is in sight!
