Edgar Cayce A.R.E. is holding a "Dolphin Selfie Contest" but not with just any dolphin. "Shanti" is the A.R.E.'s spiritual dolphin residing on their campus at 67th Street and Atlantic Avenue in Virginia Beach.
The dolphin was designed by local artist Liana Graham and named Shanti (pronounced Shawn-tee) in honor of a T.S. Eliot poem in which he translated the ancient Sanskrit word to mean, “The Peace which passeth understanding.” With the words “body, mind, spirit” appearing subtly on the surface of Shanti’s body, this dolphin embodies the spirit of A.R.E., and they are inviting everyone from the community to take a selfie with Shanti to be entered in a contest to win free conference passes.
How to Enter:
1) Find Shanti the Dolphin at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront (hint, Shanti lives next to a stone labyrinth)
2) Take a picture of yourself with Shanti (please be careful and do not climb on Shanti!)
3) Share your Shanti Selfie with us by posting it to Facebook and tagging our Facebook Page (Facebook.com/edgarcayce)
4) Use the hashtags #edgarcayce #shantithedolphin #bodymindspirit
Entries must be made by February 28, 2017. The randomly chosen winner will receive two free passes to A.R.E.’s upcoming Companions in Spirit Conference taking place on March 24-26, 2016, at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. headquarters in Virginia Beach (see EdgarCayce.org/conferences). This conference is a special event that focuses on the spirit, life, health, and the afterlife of our animal companions.
The winner will be announced on March 1, 2017!
Please note: Employees of Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E., the Cayce/Reilly School of Massage, and Atlantic University are not eligible to win.
