Congressman Robert C. "Bobby" Scott announced that he will be hosting a forum in Norfolk on Monday, December 10th to hear from constituents about voting irregularities.
"On Election Day, there were reports of severely long lines at the polls throughout Hampton Roads," said Rep. Scott. "There were also reports of problems with voter registration in the weeks leading up to Election Day. This forum will provide the congressman the opportunity to hear first about the problems his constituents faced in exercising their right to vote. The goal is to help identify potential ways to alleviate these issues legislatively at the federal level."
The forum will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 from 7:00 p.m to 8:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at Norfolk City Hall located at 810 Union Street in downtown Norfolk. This event will be open to the public.
