NORFOLK — Old Dominion University has earned a title as one of the nation’s Colleges of Distinction.
The university also received “Field of Study” badges for its business, engineering, education and nursing programs.
“We’re especially proud to be named a College of Distinction because schools are accepted based on four main criteria: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant community and successful outcomes,” said Ellen Neufeldt, vice president for student engagement and enrollment services. “Old Dominion University excels in those areas year after year.”
Colleges of Distinction’s selection process consists of a review of each institution’s freshman experience and retention efforts alongside its general education programs, alumni success, strategic plan, student satisfaction, and more.
