We had the great privilege of hosting Tom Barkin, President & CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond for our Chamber Leadership Series.

Tom opened up the session by speaking on the Fed’s actions to contain inflation and what he is keeping an eye on in this economy. He explained the work that the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is doing regarding the topic of inflation and the many impacts currently impacting our economy.

Attendees of the event along with those who sent in questions ahead of the series, also had the opportunity to ask Tom questions pertaining to their businesses and clients. During the Q&A, our members asked insightful questions on topics such as mortgage rates, student loans, global economies and of course, the local impact of inflation. Tom addressed each of these questions sharing his insight, experience, and background knowledge opening it up for great dialogue amongst attendees.
