“After serving in the General Assembly for over 20 years, I have seen first-hand that when the Hampton Roads delegation unites, we can get things done!” said Senator Lionell Spruill, Sr., Co-Chair of the Chamber’s 2017 Legislative Reception. "We have led on difficult issues such as educational and transportation funding. Also, the funding of our expanding Port facilities would not have happened if we hadn’t joined together to make our case to other legislators throughout the State.”
One of the ways the General Assembly can unite to lead on these issues is by hearing first-hand from the business community. The 2017 Legislative Reception, chaired this year by Senator Spruill, Sr., and Delegate Chris Stolle, offers Hampton Roads business leaders an opportunity to socialize with local legislators and discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the region. The Hampton Roads Chamber is devoted to being an impactful advocate for our members. Every year we provide multiple opportunities for business leaders to interact with elected officials. Members of the General Assembly desire and need timely and pertinent input on matters impacting businesses large and small.
Join the Hampton Roads Chamber, Delegate Stolle, and Senator Spruill, Sr., and other members of the General Assembly for the 2017 Legislative Reception on September 20th at the Harbor Club at Waterside District from 5:30-7:00 pm.
