Virginia Sports Hall of Fame Announces New Board Members
The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame & Museum has announced their new members of their Board of Directors. Each will serve a two-year term.

Executive Committee:

Joel R. Rubin, Chairman of the Board, reappointed for a two-year term as Chairman of the Board. Rubin is President of Rubin Communications Group, a Hampton Roads-based public relations, advertising, video productions, media training and internet consulting firm.

Marty Miller, Member-at-Large, is a Class of 2014 Inductee in the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. Miller has served as the Director of Athletics at Norfolk State University for over 10 years, after serving as baseball coach for 32 years.

Lindsay Wortham, Member-at-Large, graduated from the University of Virginia in 1973 and has served as President for the Richmond Tennis Association, Richmond Sports Backers and the Virginia Athletics Association.

Board of Directors:

LaTasha Colander Clark, Board of Directors, is a class of 2014 Inductee in the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. Colander Clark is the founder of the LC Treasures Within Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to strengthen kids’ families and the world through education sports and Christian media.

Mike Duman, Board of Directors, currently operates Mike Duman Auto Sales in Suffolk as well as several other locations in the region. Duman was elected to Suffolk City council in 2010. Duman currently serves on the Western Tidewater Water Authority, the Western Tidewater Regional Jail Board and City School Advisory Committee on Collaborative Fiscal Concerns.

Cindy Morris, Board of Directors, graduated from Old Dominion University in 1982 and won the first state tennis title for ODU in women’s doubles. Morris has served as President of the Elizabeth Manor Golf and Country Club as well as the Portsmouth Sports Club, and has served on their board for over eight years.

Tom Parker, Board of Directors, was a Division I football player at James Madison University and graduated in 1985. A native of Southampton, Parker is the Vice President and General Manager for the Waynesboro Division of Blue Ridge Beverage Company, Inc.

Mo Whitlow, Board of Directors, a native of Portsmouth and University of Richmond Graduate, has served in various capacities with the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame and as the Endowment Chairman since 1993. Whitlow is the Presiding Judge for Portsmouth General District Court, the 3rd Judicial District of Virginia.

Betty Baugh Harrison Vozenilek, Board of Directors, a Richmond native, received her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she also played on the women’s tennis team. Before attending Veterinary school, she spent four years as a tennis professional. Dr. Harrison opened the doors to Betty Baugh’s Animal Clinic in 1999.
